"Make-A-Wish"

Dreams come true

Dreams are what make us get up every day, dreams make us want to go that extra mile, give a more significant meaning to our acts.

We all deserve for our dreams to come true, especially children.

On the 29th of May a group of friends and myself are running for charity, not just any charity but in aid of "Make-a-Wish".

On the odd chance you haven't heard of this valuable charity, Make-a-Wish grants magical wishes to enrich the lives of children fighting life-threatening conditions.

If you are wondering whether running is my second nature, I can assure you with my 90kg it is not!

I have not always been into running at all; as a matter of fact it didn't used to be my cup of tea at all.

Run for fun

It all started a couple of years ago when I read about the so called “Happiest 5K on the Planet” aka color run, it was supposed to be a fun 5k stroll for young and old. I was particularly interested in the one that took place at the Olympic stadium. Unfortunately I hadn't been able to get my hands on tickets during the Olympics so this was my chance! I ended up convincing a group of friends and we all registered for our first 5k run ever.

Have to admit we had a great time.

Seems running could be fun after all...

Run for the view

Soon after the weather started to be on our side and we all know how beautiful London is in summertime! So I started joining a group of friends for an after work run from Canary Wharf to Waterloo. You basically follow the river all the way. This is my absolute favourite 8k in London! Especially south bank, the views are breath-taking.

Run for the food

If there is no rainbow colour-paint involved nor the shard in the background, what else could be worth putting those trainers on for? Exactly... FOOD!

There is nothing better than a bright and early Sunday 10K run in Richmond park followed by .... a proper English roast! Delicious!

Run for a cause

I am not ready for a marathon, not even for a semi-one and maybe I will never be ... but I am ready and keen to give running a complete new meaning. I am proud to be running the vitality 10000 run in central London and raising money for a valuable charity.
